Why Reason Marketing?
Many years ago, my desk used to have a white board behind it and amongst the all numbers and headings showing our progress, there was a corner dedicated to one word and that was WHY?
When we were asked to undertake new tasks for clients, when colleagues felt lost as to a piece of content's purpose or when we were suggesting ideas to pitch, I would point to this word on the board.
Because, I will be quite frank, there is absolutely no reason in undertaking marketing if there is not a 'why?'
Undertaking tactics without purpose, objectives or a strategy is treading water.
Marketing should be pursued not only with a reason, but with Reason.
